VOIP is an acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol, or in more common terms phone service over the Internet.
If you have a high-speed internet connection you can get phone service delivered through your Internet connection instead of from your local phone company.

There are three major reasons to use VOIP

  1. Lower Cost
    Simply put, phone service via VOIP costs less than equivalent service from traditional sources. This is because traditional phone providers are either monopolies or government entities. There are also some cost savings due to using a single network to carry voice and data. This is especially true when users have existing under-utilized network capacity that they can use for VOIP without any additional costs.
  2. Increased functionality
    Since our phone systems have all of the features that are available in todays technology, we are certain that we can re-create your system to match your old one, or redesign it to better suit your business. You may be surprised at some of the features and how they can benefit those businesses who have never had a phone system.
  3. Trends in technology
    Copper phone lines are disappearing… and it’s not because of thieves! It’s because the technology is out of date. Although copper has established itself as a long proven reliable form of communication, we have now realized the same reliability as that with digital VoIP technology.

When planning your new VoIP system, we look at all scenarios. There are several fail-safes that we can implement, including having it roll over to a list of cell phone numbers or alternative numbers such as other locations.

We move everything from your old carrier to the new carrier. If you are concerned that you might no be able to move it, we can qualify your phone numbers first. There are many limiting factors in “porting” your current phone numbers over, but we can port over pretty much anything including toll free numbers. If you don’t have a phone number, we will get you one! We have the ability to establish phone numbers in random, or customized numbers, as well as toll-free!

There are multiple options available for replacing or adapting your existing fax lines. First, we can convert you to an all online based faxing service using your existing fax numbers. It works alot like and email box, where faxes coming in are in your inbox, and sending a fax is as easy as attaching a file to an email. The second, is an ATA adapter that costs about $130, that will allow you to continue to use your fax machines as normal.

We start by designing your phone system customized to your business’ needs. We take what you currently have and either copy it or improve it with the technology we bring in. You will need to schedule us to come out and visit you at your location. We can answer any questions you might have about the service, as well as get a more accurate idea of costs of both your old provider and your new one. Once we have the system designed, we execute the process. We handle everything from porting your phone number into the new system, setting up temporary forwards if wanted, setting up the equipment in your office, and training staff members on how to use the functions of the phone. All of this at no additional cost to you.

How long does the whole process take?
If you are moving numbers over to Digivoice, the port of your phone numbers starts 3-5 days after account registration. Ports can take 5-21 business days, if they are accepted and approved promptly. If you are getting a new phone number, activation of service can be as quick as 24 hours. Installation of equipment usually happens within 7-9 days of registration.

We stand behind our phone systems, and are proud to offer a product and service that will benefit your business. The phone systems are ultra-lightweight, and can be set up to operate very simply. We offer free telephone support to all of our customers on hosted plans. We offer 1 year of free telephone support to in-house hosted PBX servers. We also offer our VOIP telephone assistance to those who are NOT on our system as well, at a billed rate. At any point a problem arises or a question about the operation of the system arises, we can provide the solutions at no cost to you.

This is where our service will truly shine. You may be paying additional costs to have your offices “linked” with extensions. Some of the clients that we have converted to VoIP service have saved over $10,000 (Yes Ten Thousand dollars) a year on phone costs. The new way they will be setup will be very similar to the old way, but the connection between the two offices will be linked via a secure tunnel through the internet.

One of the most common questions we get is why we aren’t offering lease options on our phone systems. Wouldn’t a business make a ton of money by leasing the phones? YES. And that is not the mission of Digivoice. We founded this company to cut out middle-men, and give you a no nonsense phone system that isn’t going to cost a ridiculous amount of money. We do, however offer in-house financing for the system, and payment plans can be worked out at the time of purchase.

The sip protocol is very secure, and all voice communication is encrypted between the server and your phone.

You can add unlimited phones to your phone system, and can do so with a simple phone call! There are no additional installation costs or fees associated with adding another phone.

We recommend fiber optic internet, and will help assist in getting your company moved from your current provider over to a fiber provider. If this is not available or not an option, we follow a priority list of providers that are available to you, to ensure the best quality and more reliable connection you can get. If nothing except what you currently have is available, we will determine your eligibilty by running a simple jitter test, located on the right half of this page. You can run the test yourself from the computer that you are on, and you want to see a jitter rating of 50ms or less.

Yes, and when we setup your phone system, we will also set up E911 services.
